Heigh ho, heigh ho, it's off to the doctor I go

Today is the day.

So here's the deal. When I signed up for insurance at work, I had to specify a primary care provider. Only they didn't give me a list to choose from. So I asked a coworker which doctor she used. She didn't use a doctor, but a physician's assistant. Since you can't name a PA as your PCP, I had to name the doc this PA works under. That's all fine and good...except from what I understand, this doc is an A#1 asshole. (Like, he told my wheelchair-bound client that as soon as she stood up, walked over to the table, and bent over so he could see it, he'd give her something for her "diaper" rash.) And he, literally, sent her home with nothing for the rash. Since this is my first visit, I couldn't make the appointment with the PA; I had to make it with the asshole.

So in a few minutes, I leave to go see the asshole. I'm thinking if he's not very sympathetic to my wheelchair-bound client, he's certainly not going to be sympathetic to my depression. Only I'm at the point already where I want to take my naps in the middle of the street in the hopes of getting hit by a bus. So I don't know what I'm going to do if he doesn't give me the script I need. Hopefully, we won't have to find that out.

Wish me luck.

He did that to her and he wasn't reported? Unbelievable!

If he treats you the same way, get those complaints going. I know it's the last thing you want to do when you're looking for help for depression, but you've got to.

And then see someone else ASAP.

I'm right there with you wanting to nap in the street. I hate this time of year. It's almost as bad as Christmas.
