It all Went to Hell in a Hand Basket

Well, all of our plans and schemes came to a screeching halt with the swipe of an appraiser's pen.

The house appraised at $32,400 less than the sales price. Yeah. Soooo...we're in search of our next perfect home. LOL

I'll be flying to IL next week to look at one house in particular. From the outside, it looks like a mirror image of the house I grew up in...it's the kind of house I think of when I think of the word "home." It's old - about 99 years old, as a matter of fact. That doesn't deter me, though. I'm ok with that.

Anyway, wish us luck! We're moving out of here in THREE weeks, whether we have a house or not!!
