Let them eat cake...

The kids are having mandarin orange cake this morning for breakfast - because Tai told them they could. He was trying to be sneaky last night and tell them that the cake that was in the oven at their bedtime was a two-day-cake. It got them off of our backs last night, but let me tell you...they've been begging for cake since 6:30 this morning. It's not quite as bad as it sounds. There are mandarin oranges in the cake, and the topping is made with pineapple, so there is some nutritional value to it. Hell, it's probably no worse, really, than poptarts or other things that parents give their kids and call breakfast. I'm just usually not one of those parents! But this morning? Let them eat cake!
