Feeling Blah...

Dunno why, but I've been feeling rather blah lately. Things are all going well - maybe even better than usual - but blahness seems to have taken over my moods nonetheless.

We have been pre-approved for a VA home loan, but we are currently checking out rates of other lenders as well. We're searching for houses - which is fun, but sometimes frustrating. Especially in the area of Virginia where we live. Houses are $200,000 here, and that scares the hell out of me. Back home, a decent house of comparable quality can be bought for a quarter of that...plus back home, it would include more than 2000 square feet of land. *sigh*

P is finally associating sounds with letters. There's a fighting chance that he'll be reading before summer's end. Woohoo!

D is swimming like a fish - and sinking like a rock - all at the same time. LOL She's great as long as she's wearing her floaties. When those come off? She sinks like a lead balloon. It's amazing how quickly she sinks!!! But it doesn't bother her. She'll hold her breath and kick to get to the top until Tai or I pull her up. Then she wants to do it again.

We're having some trouble with some of A's friends. He's had all of his Gamecube games come up missing over the last couple of months. The other day, one of his friends stole a lighter from my house, then proceeded to attempt to set things on fire downstairs. P did the right thing and told me about it. This has been a difficult situation at best.

Tai is working dreadful hours, as usual. Well, the work hours generally aren't too bad. It's the commute that sucks. Out of the house before 5:30AM and not home again until 6:00 or 7:00PM. And he comes home exhausted. Not much we can do about it, though.

That's about all that's going on around here.
